I didn’t expect to meet God’s grace in a CVS parking lot. But that’s how grace works—it shows up where we least expect it.
It was an ordinary day. I was weary, carrying more than I could hold. Then I saw her: a woman in a nun’s habit, walking toward me with kindness in her eyes. She asked if she could pray for me. There I was, standing between parked cars, tears in my eyes, as she prayed with a tenderness that felt heaven-sent.
Then she pressed something into my hand—her rosary beads. To her, they were sacred, a symbol of devotion and prayer. To me, they became a reminder that God sees us and meets us in unexpected places.
It wasn’t about a label or a tradition. It was about the grace of one person’s faith reaching across to strengthen mine.
We all need reminders that grace can reach us anywhere. Even in parking lots. Even in seasons when hope feels far. My invitation to you is this: open your eyes today for unexpected grace. It may not look like you imagined—but it might be exactly what your heart has been longing for.
